The highly anticipated PDP Riffmaster, the first guitar controller designed for Fortnite Festival and Rock Band 4, is set to hit stores in April with a price tag of $130. The release date and price of this innovative new peripheral were announced after it was first revealed back in January.
According to PDP senior director of product marketing, Michael Lai, "At last, the wait is over… it’s time for gamers to rock on! Rhythm-action gaming is experiencing more than a renaissance – it is being redefined! Every aspect of the RIFFMASTER design is informed by PDP’s rich heritage in rhythm-based gaming, including a nod to the past with backwards compatibility. We cannot wait for fans to have their first jam session!"
The PDP Riffmaster is a versatile ambidextrous guitar controller, catering to both left- and right-handed players. It boasts an impressive battery life of up to 36 hours per charge and offers a range of up to 30 feet. The controller's features include a 3.5 mm audio jack, d-pad controls for easy navigation, collapsible design for convenient storage, an analog stick on the back of the neck, and buttons located at both the top and bottom of the fretboard.
If you're eager to get your hands on the PDP Riffmaster, pre-orders are now open on the company's website as well as through various retailers. Additionally, it was recently announced that PDP was acquired by Turtle Beach for a whopping $118 million.
