GOG, the popular gaming platform, has announced a collaboration with Amazon Luna in a recent blog post. This partnership will allow players to access their favorite titles on both platforms without the need for an additional purchase.
According to the blog post, "on Luna you'll be able to play every game that you already own on GOG (and that is also available on Luna)". Additionally, users can purchase games available on GOG via Luna's client, and these titles will be directly added to their GOG library.

Amazon Luna, the cloud gaming service launched in 2022, offers players the flexibility of cloud gaming or offline gameplay. Teaming up with GOG is expected to enhance the gaming experience by providing more options to the users.
Despite the tough competition from the likes of Epic Games Store and Steam, GOG stands out for its focus on DRM-free games. The collaboration with Luna will not compromise GOG's mission of providing DRM-free gaming to its audience.
In a testament to the potential of cloud gaming, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot likened it to the popularity of Netflix in September 2023. This indicates a growing trend towards cloud-based gaming services.
While Epic Games Store faced challenges in profitability, GOG and Amazon Luna's partnership holds promise for a brighter future. By expanding the gaming library available to users, this collaboration aims to cater to a wider audience.
