League of Legends Esports recently made history by inducting the legendary mid-laner, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, into the Hall of Legends. This prestigious honor is a testament to Faker's unparalleled skill, mastery, and impact on the millions of fans worldwide.
As a 4-time World Champion, 2-time MSI Champion, and 10-time LCK Champion, Faker has solidified his position as one of the greatest players in League of Legends history. His presence as the cornerstone of T1 has been marked by game-changing plays, earning him the title of “The Unkillable Demon King.”

John Needham, President of Esports at Riot Games, expressed, “Faker is truly the most iconic and influential figure in League of Legends and esports history. His name is synonymous with excellence in LoL Esports, and he has rightfully earned his place as our very first Hall of Legends inductee.”
To commemorate Faker’s legacy, Riot Games will be organizing an exclusive in-game event where players can earn and purchase exclusive cosmetic items. In addition, Mercedes-Benz will unveil a dedicated art piece for Faker that will showcase his greatest achievements and present him with a custom Mercedes-AMG SL 63.
Britta Seeger, Member of the Board of Management Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Marketing & Sales, stated, “While esports is gaining more momentum, we at Mercedes Benz are delighted to extend our role as the official automotive partner of all global League of Legends Esports events to the Hall of Legends. I am more than happy to honor Faker as the first-ever member.”
The Hall of Legends in-game event will feature an event pass that takes players on a journey through Faker's career, highlighting his achievements and memorable moments. Riot Games will release more details about the event, including the upcoming Faker-themed items.
