Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 rolls out its much-anticipated Ranked Play mode, packed with enticing rewards and competitive action. This latest update, announced via the official Call of Duty Twitter, marks a significant milestone for the game, following a brief delay due to technical issues that affected Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and Zombies.

Ranked Play in Modern Warfare 3 follows the Call of Duty League (CDL) ruleset, offering a refined competitive experience. This mode restricts certain loadout items, including specific weapons, attachments, and equipment, to ensure a balanced and fair competitive environment. Players start their journey at Level 55, with all unrestricted gameplay items unlocked for use in Ranked Play.
Exciting Rewards Await
Players grinding their way to the top in Ranked Play can look forward to a variety of rewards:
- Weapon Sticker: Win 5 matches to earn the “MWIII Season 1 Competitor” Weapon Sticker.
- Weapon Blueprint: Secure 10 victories for the “Pro Issue Gutter Knife” Weapon Blueprint.
- Weapon Charm: Triumph in 20 matches to claim the “Script Writer” Weapon Charm.
- Large Decal: Achieve 30 wins for the “Built Different” Large Decal.
- Loading Screen: Win 40 matches to get the “MWIII Ranked Play Season 1” Loading Screen.
- Weapon Camo: Conquer 50 matches to earn the “MWIII Season 1 Ranked Veteran” Weapon Camo.
In addition to these in-season rewards, players will receive end-of-season rewards based on their Skill Division, ranging from exclusive emblems to unique Operator Skins and Weapon Charms.
The Ranked Play features several maps and modes straight from the CDL, including CDL Search & Destroy, CDL Hardpoint, and CDL Control, each with its own set of rules and supported maps.
