According to Video Games Chronicle, the game has received a rating from the Korean ratings board, hinting at a possible release announcement in the near future.

The highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 remake, in development by Bloober Team, was first revealed in 2022. While updates on the project have been scarce, the studio recently asked for patience from their eager fans as they continue to fine-tune the game.

However, a recent trailer for the game sparked some controversy, with Bloober Team's president expressing that it did not accurately capture the essence of the game. In an interview with Inwestorzy.tv, Piotr Babieno mentioned that the trailer did not reflect the spirit of the game they are working on and that the negative feedback was understandable.

Despite the misstep with the trailer, Bloober Team is dedicated to delivering a game that honors the original Silent Hill 2, capturing its romanticized essence from over two decades ago. Babieno assured fans that once they see the real gameplay, they will have a different perspective on the project.
