Battlestate Games has recently revealed plans for the forthcoming major update for Escape from Tarkov Arena, labeled Patch 0.1.5.0. This significant patch is set to introduce a host of modifications to the nascent multiplayer game, including a comprehensive 'wipe' of the game's data. This means players will find themselves starting from scratch, with everyone beginning on equal footing from February 28. Players will be tasked with climbing the ranks anew to unlock all the preset classes once again.
For those unfamiliar with the Tarkov series, this reset mechanism is a staple of the gaming experience. Despite Tarkov Arena's recent introduction to the gaming scene with a 'staggered launch' just three months ago, Battlestate Games is moving forward with plans to implement a game reset next week.
The upcoming wipe will bring with it several enhancements and new features to Tarkov Arena, including:
- A Preset Tier System
- Improvements to Custom Games
- A more flexible Preset Unlock system
- A redesigned Present System
- The introduction of the Chop Shop Teamfight Mode
On Wednesday, February 28, we are planning to install update 0.1.5 for Escape from Tarkov: Arena.

While Escape from Tarkov Arena has shown promise and entertained many, the community's reception has been mixed regarding the current state of the game. However, there's a path forward. Escape from Tarkov itself has been under continuous development since its beta release in 2016, with Battlestate Games dedicating efforts to its evolution.
Joining the Arena means committing to the long haul, with hopes of witnessing and contributing to its refinement over time.
