Following intensive work to ameliorate Alan Wake 2's performance, Remedy has revealed a lowered minimum PC requirement for the popular survival horror adventure game— Alan Wake 2.
These adjustments make it possible for gamers with less powerful PCs to enjoy Remedy's fastest-selling game to date. However, to achieve Remedy's Recommended, Ultra, or Ray Tracing presets, expect to need the same gear as before this latest update.

Before this optimization, gamers needed a minimum of Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600. But after the latest adjustments, a GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5600 XT suffices. This may not signify a colossal difference, but it offers an opportunity for owners of pre-RTX era cards to partake in the gameplay.
Regardless of the adjusted minimum requirements, to maintain 30fps at 1080p, an upgrade is still necessary. However, the move by Remedy to lower minimum system requirements is praiseworthy given its rarity in the industry.
