Sony is stepping up the gaming aesthetics game with its latest reveal - a stunning collection of PlayStation 5 Slim console covers. These covers, showcased at CES in Las Vegas by Notebook Check, are not just about protection; they're a style statement for gamers.
The Deep Earth Collection, featuring a "smooth metallic finish," includes colors like Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver. Initially announced for the original PS5 model in September 2023, these covers have now been adapted for the sleek PS5 Slim, which was announced in October.
Here's what gamers can look forward to:
- Availability: Starting early 2024, including an all-matte Black colorway.
- Pricing: Starting at $54.99 USD | €54.99 | £44.99 | 7,480 JPY.
- Variety: Additional colors to be released in the future.
This announcement comes alongside Sony's revelation of a record-high 123 million active PlayStation users in December, as announced during their CES press conference.
In addition to the console covers, Sony also teased an unnamed Patapon project and hinted at the Gravity Rush movie. They even demonstrated their electronic vehicle collaboration with Honda, impressively controlling the car on stage using a PS5 controller.
